Each year, Milestone Senior Services takes part in the March for Meals campaign. This campaign raises awareness and support for nutrition for seniors. In 2025, Milestone provided over 400,000 meals to older adults in Kalamazoo and Calhoun counties. Meals that provided easy and well-balanced nutrition for those who are not able to provide adequate nutrition for themselves. With your help, Milestone continues to provide food to these communities.

Want to join the March?

Take a look at the ways you can participate this month to support Milestone’s nutrition programming for older adults:

  • Join the Cooking Classes. Each Thursday in March, we will be putting on cooking classes. Our lead chef will teach you how to make and customize delicious baked goods in our commercial kitchen in Kalamazoo. Proceeds go to support our Senior Nutrition Programs. There are spots open in each class – register online for one or all four!
  • Volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Whether you’ve done it before and have been wanting to do it again, or this is your very first time, now is a great time to jump in and help. Going on a Meals on Wheels route is a low commitment volunteer option, you can do it as often as you’d like. Don’t want to drive? No problem, you can be a “hopper” — who brings the meals to the clients’ doors. Sign up online or call us to get started.
  • Make a Donation. Even if you can’t join the cooking classes or help on a route, you can still make a difference. A donation to Milestone Senior Services’ March for Meals campaign helps provide food for older adults in your community. No matter the amount, it makes a direct difference in someone’s life. Donate online or send a check made out to Milestone Senior Services with “March for Meals” on the memo line to 918 Jasper St, Kalamazoo, MI 49001.
  • Tell Your Story. Have you or a loved one benefited from Milestone’ nutrition programs? Maybe your mom or dad receives meals, or you volunteer and have been moved by a client on your delivery route. Tell others how much this program means to those who use it and the importance of nutrition for aging adults. If you want to share your story with a larger audience, reach out and connect with us so we can tell our supporters how Milestone nutrition programs have helped you! Call us at 269-382-0515.

You can make a difference in your community! No matter what you do to support Meals on Wheels this month, we hope you can join us in sharing the importance of nutrition for seniors.
