CURRENT MENUS
Meals on Wheels
Milestone’s Meals on Wheels program is available to residents of Calhoun and Kalamazoo County who are 60 years of age or older and unable to leave their home without assistance. People age 18 and older who have a disability which limits their access to the community may also qualify for Meals on Wheels.
Meals are home-delivered every weekday with the exception of holidays. An initial assessment will determine how many meals per day/week are appropriate based on the client’s living situation. Clients choose between a hot or cold menu, and frozen meals are also available to supplement our clients’ nutritional needs or to help them through the weekends.
Use the Apply Now button above to learn more or apply for services.
Pet Support for Seniors
Milestone offers home deliveries of pet food and supplies for our Meals on Wheels clients because we value the companionship a pet provides for many older adults who have limited access to their community.
Paid Meal Service
Our Paid Meal Service makes Meals on Wheels available to residents of Kalamazoo and Calhoun County who want our home delivered meal service, but do not qualify for the grant-funded meals. Use the Apply Now button above to learn more or sign up for services.
Congregate Dining
Our Congregate Dining program provides opportunities for meals in a social setting. Many older adults experience some level of isolation, congregate dining encourages people to come together to enjoy a meal. We have several congregate dining sites in Kalamazoo and Calhoun County. Our congregate dining sites are available to residents of Calhoun and Kalamazoo County who are 60 years of age or older. Our dining sites are located within senior housing complexes or community centers where older adults can easily access them. (See list of sites by county to the right of this page)
Congregate Dining program participants are required to sign up in advance. People under the age of 60 may also sign up for the program and will be charged a nominal fee for their meal. Use the Apply Now button above to learn more or apply for services.
Restaurant Dining Program
The Restaurant Dining Program serves adults 60 older living in rural areas of Kalamazoo County. It encourages socialization and offers flexibility and choices in receiving affordable, healthy meals at local restaurants through coupons provided to participants. We are currently participaing with Liz's Parkview Cafe in Richland, and Yogi's Diner in Vicksburg. Use the Apply Now button at the top of the page to get more information or to sign up.
Supplemental Food Program
Our Supplemental Food Program provides a monthly delivery of nutritious groceries. This program is available to income-elegible seniors living in Kalamazoo County. Use the Apply Now button at the top of the page to get more information or to sign up.
This program is provided in partnership with Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes.
