Senior Project Fresh

The Senior Project Fresh program is aimed at helping older adults eat healthier as they age. The program provides participants free nutrition education and $25 in coupons that can be exchanged for fresh fruits, vegetables, and other healthy foods sold at local farmers’ markets and roadside stands. 

June 1 - Application Period Opens

As of June first, applications will be available at our Kalamazoo office every weekday from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. You can complete your application and receive your coupons in the same day.  You can use the buttons below to download the forms before you arrive.

June 12 - Sign Up Event

On June 12 from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM volunteers will be available at our Kalamazoo office to assist you with your application and distribute your coupons. Snacks and Refreshments will be served.


Use the links below to download the application forms if you want to view or complete them before you arrive. If someone else will be picking up your produce for you during the season, you will need to also complete the proxy form to designate who that person is.


To be eligible to receive Senior Project Fresh coupons, you must be at least 60 years of age, or at least 55 years of age and a member of a Federally recognized Indian Tribe or Urban Tribal Group in Michigan, meet the income guidelines which are based on 185% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2024 during the current fiscal year and apply for coupons at the lead agency that represents your county of residence. Your signature indicates that you have seen, or have been given a copy of the current income guidelines which are as follows, not to exceed: For 1 person: $27,861 / For 2 people: $37,814.
