Companionship
Many older adults living at home are socially isolated which can lead to both physical and mental health issues. A simple visit or phone call can go a long way toward brightening someone’s day.
Companionship connections may be made in person, by phone, or a combination of the two. Our Companionship program provides peer support, friendship, and socialization for older adults. Because the program creates one-on-one connections, a sincere bond is often created between the volunteer and the client. These types of connections provide a meaningful difference in the quality of life of an older adult who is experiencing isolation or depression.
All volunteers undergo thorough background checks to ensure the safety of our clients.
